Can of worms... Who's the better captain?

Postby payne747 » Wed Jul 12, 2006 12:50 pm

Let's open a can of worms on this forum! Who is the best Star Trek captain ever...? Take your time to think about your answer, and please consider all criteria that pertains to the qualities you'd look for in a decent captain...

Cast your votes now, and tell us why :P

My vote? Easy. Picard, although I'd have to say it's closely followed by Sisko. (or cisco as I call him :P). Picard was an intelligent, thoughtful and friendly character, but still carried a sense of authority which didn't need to be proved.. it was just there. His decisions were based on long term benefits and not selfish in anyway, overall - a decent Captain!

Well i would have to say Picard Too. He commands the federation flagship and is always in the front line. He has a deep set of princlples and when they are challenged he still knows where to cross the line. He considers his crew as family and would easily give his life to anybody before his own.
Hey hows it going big guy, You alright, Wanna Soda

Glad to see we are mostly Picard fans!

Janeway 2nd...no doubt...she had to make some tough choices out there!!

It has to be Sisko as all round. He knew when to fight, when to talk and most importantly when to retreat. he had to fight the hardest war the Federation ever faced.

Then it's Kirk...I know i just prefer him!

Picard was a good captian but let's face it boring. To boldly use my senses when i should of used my phasers.

I'm sorry Sam but Janeway suched. She broke the Prime directive to suit her needs whenever she wanted except in the first episode when she should of to get her crew home...idiot.
Then just let the Doctor and Severn of nine, solve every F*ing problem she came across.
Time will tell sooner or later time will tell.
